I am a seventh generation native Texan. My father was a rancher and a farmer. Farm chores were a way of life, with cattle related tasks every day after school. I worked every summer in the cotton field or watermelon patch.  At my job, I gravitated toward assignments and projects that were integral to the security of our nation. As the daughter of a WWII veteran, and a contemporary of Vietnam era veterans, I believe “Freedom isn’t Free” is not a catch phrase; it is a call to action and a reminder of duty.

I am a retired Program Engineer with a Chemistry degree and a software development background who worked 36 years in the defense industry on intelligence and information systems for the US Government. I am now enjoying retirement, continuing my genealogy studies and serving the community through projects with various lineage societies. Member: Society of Women Engineers and Women in Technology International

Personal My interest in family history started years ago under the tutelage of my father who had a Masters in Louisiana History. The desire to have a factual family history that I can pass along to my children and grandchildren has kept me going in researching our family, it’s amazing what you can learn today with the resources that are available.

I spent most of my career in the practice of Internal Auditing. I have been the Chief Financial Officer and Board member of a publicly traded oil field services firm. The last fifteen years I spent setting up or re-directing Internal Audit departments for private equity portfolio companies.
